In this fun, hands-on course, you'll learn the basics of acting for TV and film. With the guidance of our experienced and supportive tutor, you'll dive into the techniques used by professional actors and get plenty of time in front of the camera. You'll get to perform duologues (scenes for two people) on camera, practicing what you've learned, building your confidence and learning how you and your scene partner can support each other to achieve your best performance.
What You'll Do:
- Perform on Camera: Practice scenes and build your confidence in front of the camera. Receive personalized feedback to help you improve.
- Explore Camera Shots: Understand how the camera sees you and the different types of camera shots.
- Develop Acting Techniques: Use your body and voice to bring characters to life on screen.
- Boost Confidence: Develop the skills to deliver natural and convincing performances.
- Rehersal technique: Practice memorizing lines and improving your rehearsal techniques.
- Text Work: Work with scripts to unlock character emotions and motives.
We will not send students footage from this course. All filming will be watched in class and you will receive notes from your tutor in class. This is more beneficial for students and, as importantly, it means that everyone feels free to explore and engage without the concern of scenes being publicly viewed.
Get ready to dive into the exciting world of screen acting and start your journey to becoming a confident actor!
